KH07001   Alcian Blue Stain Kit
Alcian Blue 2.5 pH is used to detect acid mucopolysaccharides in tissue samples that cannot be detected with the habitual method of hematoxylin – eosin. Sulphured and carboxylated mucins can be visualized. Nuclear fast red is supplied as a counterstain, to visualize cell nucleus. Components: 3% Glacial Acetic Acid, Alcian Blue pH 2.5 and Nuclear Fast Red. Available in pack sizes of 125ml and 500ml.

Samples do not require special preparation. This kit is design for research use only, it is not approved for human or animal use, or clinical diagnosis.
     
KH07002   Gomori Trichrome Stain Kit
Gomori trichrome stain is used to demonstrate muscle fiber and cytoplasm in red, nuclei in black and collagen containing connective tissue in blue. Weigert’s Hematoxylin and Aniline blue are included to improve staining balance.  Available in pack sizes of 125ml and 500ml.

Slides should be deparaffinized through xylene or substitute and descending grades of alcohol to distilled water prior to staining. Designed for research use only, it is not approved for human or animal use, or clinical diagnosis.
     
KH07003   Harris Hematoxylin Solution
Hematoxylin is frequently used together with Eosin, nuclear fast red, periodic acid or alcian blue. It is also used in immunohistochemical procedures to visualize the end product. Harris Hematoxylin does not contain mercury. Available in pack sizes of 125ml and 500ml.

Slides should be deparaffinized through xylene or substitute and descending grades of alcohol to distilled water prior to staining. Designed for research use only, it is not approved for human or animal use, or clinical diagnosis.
     
KH07004   Mayer’s Hematoxylin-Eosin Stain Kit
Hematoxylin-Eosin is a common staining technique used in a wide range of tissues. Through this method, nuclei can be visualized as blue, muscle in red, connective tissue in pink and nucleic acid associated with proteins in purple. Mayer’s Hematoxylin does not contain mercury.Components: Mayer’s Hematoxylin Reagent and Eosin Reagent. Available in pack sizes of 125ml and 500ml.

KH07005   Harris Hematoxylin-Eosin Stain Kit
Hematoxylin-Eosin is a common staining technique used in a wide range of tissues. Through this method, nuclei can be visualized as blue, muscle in red, connective tissue in pink and nucleic acid associated with proteins in purple. KH07006   Weigert’s Iron Hematoxylin Stain Kit
Hematoxylin is frequently used together with Eosin, nuclear fast red, periodic acid or alcian blue. It is also used in immunohistochemical procedures to visualize the end product. Our Weigert’s Hematoxylin Kit does not contain mercury. Components: Hematoxylin Weigert’s Reagent A and Hematoxylin Weigert’s Reagent B.  Available in pack sizes of 125ml and 500ml.

KH07007   Masson’s Trichrome Stain Kit
Masson’s trichrome stain is used to demonstrate connective tissue elements, collagen and muscle fibers. After staining, collagen and mucin will be coloured in blue, muscle fibers, cytoplasm and keratin in red and the nuclei blue/black. Components of Masson’s trichrome stain kit: Hematoxylin Weigert’s Reagent A, Hematoxylin Weigert’s Reagent B, Phosfotungstic Phosfomolibdic Acid Reagent, Aniline Blue, Glacial acetic acid 1%, Bouin fixative reagent  and Biebrich scarlet. Available in pack sizes of 125ml and 500ml.

Formalin-fixed, paraffin and frozen samples can be used. Collagen and mucin can be visualized as blue, muscle fibers, cytoplasm and keratin in red and the nuclei blue/black. After each step., rinsing with tap water and distilled water is required unless specified.
     
KH07008   Mayer’s Hematoxylin Solution I
Mayer’s Hematoxylin is frequently used together with Eosin, nuclear fast red, periodic acid or alcian blue. It is also used in immunohistochemical procedures to visualize the end product. This product does not contain mercury. Components: Mayer’s Hematoxylin. Available in pack sizes of 125ml and 500ml.

Slides should be deparaffinized through xylene or substitute and descending grades of alcohol to distilled water prior to staining. Nuclei can be visualized as blue-purple. Designed for research use only, it is not approved for human or animal use, or clinical diagnosis.
     
KH07010   Periodic Acid Schiff (PAS) – Alcian Blue
PAS-Alcian Blue technique is used to differentiate between acidic mucins as sialomucins, sulfomucin and neutral epithelial mucin. After staining, acidic mucins will be coloured blue, neutral in magenta and nuclei in deep blue. Mixtures of acidic and neutral mucins give blue/ purple colour. Components: Schiff Reagent, Periodic acid 0.5%, Harris Hematoxylin and Alcian Blue. Available in pack sizes of 125ml and 500ml.

Acidic mucins can be coloured in blue, neutral in magenta and nuclei in deep blue. Mixtures of acidic and neutral mucins give blue/ purple colour. KH07011   Periodic Acid Schiff (PAS) – Mayer’s Hematoxylin
Periodic Acid Schiff staining technique is used to demonstrate simple polysaccharides, neutral muco-polisaccharides, mucoproteins, and glicolipids. In this kit, Mayer’s hematoxylin is used to stain cell nuclei. Components: Schiff Reagent, Periodic acid 0.5%, Sulfurose Acid Reagent and Mayer’s Hematoxylin. Available in pack sizes of 125ml and 500ml.

Nuclei can be visualized in violet, simple polysaccharides, neutral muco-polisaccharides, glicolipids and basement membrane in red/purple. Designed for research use only, it is not approved for human or animal use, or clinical diagnosis.

KH07013   Schiff Reagent Solution
Schiff Reagent Solution is used in the staining technique PAS. Periodic Acid Schiff is used to demonstrate simple polysaccharides, neutral muco-polisaccharides, mucoproteins, and glicolipids. It can be used together with hematoxylin or alcian blue. Components: Schiff Reagent. Available in pack sizes of 125ml and 500ml.

Only used together with the PAS Stain. The short procedure of PAS staining with Harris Hematoxylin is included in the section below. Designed for research use only, it is not approved for human or animal use, or clinical diagnosis.
